Help us rebuild

On July 5, 2025, a flood destroyed three family homes, our family spice business, our barns, our livestock, and thirty-six years of work on Sandy Creek. We are rebuilding — elevated above the floodplain, powered by the sun, working with the creek instead of against it — as a place the whole community can use and learn from.

Where things stand. The Sandy Creek community and our extended family have already contributed $343,000 in donations, labor, and materials. Our family has committed $500,000 of our own funds. $600,000 remains. Gifted Dreamers' board has designated Asher Acres as the current priority of its Sandy Creek Flood Recovery Fund, which is one of the ways that gap is being closed.
